A couple of you asked where my Beetlejuice blazer is from. The answer is eBay UK, and the brand was Ben Sherman. I have discovered that eBay UK is where aaaaaalll the striped blazers live, so go forth and browse!
As to the ankh dagger pendant that I gleefully squee’d about yesterday: That, my loves, was a lucky find on Etsy. Yes, I periodically browse keywords such as “silver ankh” in the hopes that I will get very lucky, and yesterday I did! I don’t know of anyone that is making replicas of the ankh from the Hunger anymore. Alchemy Gothic makes an “Ankh of the Dead”, which is similar but not quite the same. My original sterling silver one (that I’m wearing right now, thankyouverymuch!) was made by an artisan in Seattle, back in the early 90s, and I doubt he’s manufacturing them anymore. (But I should track him down again and ask.)

Eeee! My package from Recently Deceased Press arrived today, and I am giddy about it. Not only do I now have a Handbook for the Recently Deceased journal (which is going to the new job with me on Monday, so I have something to take notes in), but they included the flyer and 5 Beetlejuice business cards! If you are looking to get a replica Handbook of your own, I highly, HIGHLY recommend this Etsy seller.
(Now to decide which fountain pen to take with me on Monday, and order one of this seller’s doll-sized Handbooks for Miss Beetlejuice and Evangeline.)

A Beetlejuice terrarium! This is adorable and clever. I could never own it, as the (lovable and snuggly) demon kittens would DESTROY it, but I love the idea of it.

Which is to say that I am HUGELY wary about the idea of a Beetlejuice sequel, but my knee-jerk “Dear G-d NO” is not QUITE as strong as it was originally. It would depend on the script and who ended up directing. (Tim Burton has said he’d be interested in producing, but nothing has been said about directing.)
Hmmm. I am now slightly less wary and more optimistic about the idea of a Beetlejuice sequel. Via burtonphile:
“This will be a true 26 or 27 years later sequel. What’s great is that for Beetlejuice, time means nothing in the afterlife, but the world outside is a different story.”
While promoting Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter at Wondercon, screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith confirmed that he will write the script for a sequel to Beetlejuice this year.
He also confirmed that, should his script impress, Michael Keaton would return as star and Tim as producer.
