I don’t know if I’d trust coffee served by my favorite freelance bio-exorcist. I mean, yes, I’d try it, but I’d be aware that it was a bad idea.

The cafe right by the conference rooms sells this stuff. I think I will try it at lunchtime, because let’s be honest, I’m going to need a LOT more coffee than usual this week.

Sorry, my tea-drinking companions; some mornings require coffee and loud, thumpy music.

There are the same amount of shots in an Americano as a latte; the only difference is if they’re mixed with milk or water. I’m not a big fan of milky coffee, so I don’t get lattes or mochas.

For those of you asking where I acquired my stripey bat mug: it’s from TJ Maxx, a couple of Halloweens ago. Always look at stores like TJ Maxx, Ross, and Marshall’s for fun Halloween stuff! (And for clothes, tights, shoes … it’s amazing what you can find there, if you’re a dedicated searcher.)

It’s one of THOSE mornings. A double Americano with caramel sauce and whipped cream is the only possible solution.

Obviously the coffee isn’t enough and I need to brew another pot of tea. Because I just readjusted the hatpins holding my hat at its jaunty angle, and stabbed myself in the scalp.

Of course, the sting from that HAS made me feel more awake, but I think I prefer caffeine to flesh wounds.

I have skull sugar cubes at home, and save them for special occasions. (Meaning, if I’m having a REALLY bad day, and need extra whimsy in my coffee.) I purchased mine from Dem Bones on Etsy.
