Time to feed Roderick and Madeline (my “pet” crows), then work on some clothing DIY projects while sipping absinthe and listening to Bauhaus. Later, I’ll give myself a blood spatter manicure, and read a silly vampire book while taking a bath. All of these are important things.

Hairdye & peacock feather experiment: eh. It certainly darkened the feathers, but it didn’t dye them black. Now I know.
Today’s ridiculous moment during Goth Upkeep: using the left-over black dye to coat some spare peacock feathers. Yes, I’m experimenting with dying peacock feathers black. I will report on the results.

Here is how ridiculous I am: I have a specific oversized vintage concert shirt I wear for Goth Upkeep. Because hair dye and bleach stains on my “Resurrection 98” Bauhaus tour shirt? Make it even *better*.
Gluten reaction be damned, it is NOT going to interfere with today’s planned Goth Upkeep. Black hair dye! Bleach! Pink hair dye! Nail polish! Deciding what the hell I’m going to wear on my head for the Steampunk Exhibition Ball on Saturday night! Planning my outfit for Sunday’s Emilie Autumn show!

My oh-so glamorous night: hair tied with strips of fabric (let’s see if I get ringlets this time!), no makeup (today was Goth Upkeep/not-leaving-the-house), glaring at text docs as I try to get words out of my brain. But I have kittens, chocolate, and all of my Peter Murphy collection on shuffle.

Today: dayjob (install ALL the tools?), writing, minor goth upkeep (manicure & skincare), LOTS OF TEA, writing, and more writing. Will I finish the 5k words that are due Friday, so I can send it to my beta readers? Let’s find out.
