Also, today would have been Mom & Dad’s 44th wedding anniversary. We love you, Mom.

The remembrance altar I have set for the next few days. Flowers I saved from the ones people sent last year, a antique compact from my grandma, the key to the Haunted Mansion (my Mom’s favorite place on earth), bobbins from Mom’s sewing machine, photos of Mom and Grandma, and one of all three of us from my wedding.

This is going to be my Dad and me, especially since the Harry Potter movies were some of Mom’s favorites.

My grandmother, my Dad’s mom, passed away earlier this morning.
Dad is, understandably, numb.
I never got to spend as much time as I wanted with Grandma Vida, as she lived in California. But she was warm, funny, and flamboyant. I look a lot like her, and I have some similar personality quirks.
If you can, please spare a thought for her, and for my Dad, who is having to cope with a lot right now.
