Today’s Flashback is an article that I felt had to be written in light of the issue. It’s not comfortable for a lot of people, but we have to speak up about it and fight it at every turn.

Misogyny in Geek Culture.
*I* am probably going to write about misogyny in gay male culture. Dammit, homosexuals - you don’t to want to have a relationship (or sex!) with a woman to TREAT HER LIKE A HUMAN, and not like she’s a horrible monster from the bottom of the sea (EWWW VAGINA!) or your personal mannequin (“Gurrrrrrrl you’d be FINE if you lost 30 pounds and let me do your makeup next time!”).
And no, asking gay men to treat women like they (the gay men in question) would like to be treated doesn’t make things better; trust me, gay men treat each other (and themselves) like CRAP.
