Throwback Thursday! tura23 and myself at World Horror Con 1995. Oh, the places I was sent to when I worked for WotC.
And silver buttons all down her back.
Nicole Stavenau challenged me to do this. I made a donation, but I also agreed to go through with the ice water. I’m not challenging anyone specifically to do this, but I AM challenging everyone to donate - time or money - to causes close to their heart.
Throwback Thursday: more from my tragic LARPing past. From the Seattle Camarilla “Prom”, 1993 or 1994, I think? Yes, I’m the one with the big hair and white dress
This event will always be a fond memory for me, because when my very-recently-ex boyfriend showed up, the StuntHusband took advantage of being the DJ and promptly played "Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me". I sat down on the dance floor and laughed hysterically, while the ex stomped out of the room.
The others, from left to right: Amber, Wolf, the StuntHusband (peering over my shoulder), Kyle (partially hidden by my hair), Wade, and Jana.
THREAT LEVEL: PUMPKIN - the start of the craft store expedition!
I don’t like the Orb, but otherwise this is fun!
Ready to revisit my tragic hair metal past! I will never stop being amused by this dress from killstarclothing (Sun hat = VITAL, as it’s an outdoor amphitheater concert.)
Having met madam, Atticus is convinced her email was sent with a flurry of hand gestures and delightful noises.
Lady Venters is a cloud of night floating on pink twilight, a pleasantly haunted icon teaching us all fantastic lessons about feathers, big skirts, grace, and the pleasures of embracing one’s cliches.
Atticus is not wrong about the email being sent with flaily hand gestures and squeaks of glee. Because this month’s Mister Ghost Parcel has the theme of The Raven, which is a thing of spooky joy!
Goth Kinda at the Office: The”glamour shot”, and the candid “no really that file structure is kind of … something, but I don’t know what” reality.
Yesterday over on Twitter, delilahsdawson and @cmpriest were having a “retro goth off”. I figured I needed to share one of my photos from a NOLA cemetery. Halloween 1994-ish, I think?
On that trip, I stayed at the house of the goth band Falling Janus, and went to the Anne Rice Halloween Ball as a guest of the harpist for Trio Nocturna. The entire trip was very, very surreal. Fun, but weird.
