Y’know what one of the best things about not having to be gluten-free in my eating habits is? (Well, besides the cupcakes?) I can walk to the Grand Central Bakery and get a toasted ham & cheese sandwich for lunch.

One, these look delicious. Two, nice display. Three, OH G-D I WANT A CUPCAKE.

Salted. Rosemary. Caramel. Apples. Oh good heavens. YES. (And wow, it’s been ages since I’ve had a caramel apple.)

Made some Caramel Apples with lil twigs stuck in to pick them up with ;-) This is my first attempt at a caramel and I infused the cream with Rosemary and used honey instead of corn syrup. The rest of the recipe is sugar and a saucepan and fire.

I didn’t make the chocolate/Brie/strawberry grilled cheese sandwich. I didn’t have any strawberries, and when I thought about it, adding blackberries to the sandwich would be overkill when I was already making it with the (fantastic!) jalepeno-apricot-thyme bread from Wheatless in Seattle.

My heavens, this sandwich is DELICIOUS.

This looks (and sounds!) amazing. Oooh, and the RealHusband is picking me up some of the really good GF bread today …

The wife of one of my co-workers has been perfecting her cupcake skills and testing them on our office. She made gluten-free cupcakes just for me!

Yes. Bring this to me RIGHT NOW. (Fine, the scone has to be gluten-free. Whatever. SMOTHER IT IN WHIPPED CREAM AND STRAWBERRIES, IT WILL BE FINE.)
