Am I the only one who thinks a somewhat decent get up with skulls or bat accessory is extremely cheesy?

Not in the slightest! But I like cheesy as you can probably tell from my two most recent Polyvore sets so my opinion is invalid.

It depends on the skull or bat accessory! ::Looks down at giant vintage Alchemy Gothic necklace laying on my cravat:: But then, since I have gleefully crashed through the cliche barrier and camped out somewhere on the other side of it, my opinion is possibly suspect.

(Also, I have a large black lace bat applique on the back of the blazer I’m wearing today. BECAUSE I CAN.)

Roderick and Madeline (and the rest of their murder) really, REALLY like Count Chocula cereal. 

(What? It’s not like I can eat it right now, and the idea of feeding gothy cliche cereal to the neighborhood crows is so delightfully over-the-top that it had to be done. HAD TO.)

I’m telling myself that it’s okay I don’t have the spare spending money for this version of a bladed ankh pendant, because the design isn’t quite to my tastes. But that obsessive, “collect ALL the ankh dagger pendants!” part of my brain is still wibbling a little bit. It’s okay. I own my cliches, and part of that is being selective about aesthetic and design details. (Or so Pete and the StuntHusband keep trying to convince me.)

Copies of Dracula? 12. Including, yes, the tie-in for the Coppola movie that is based on, but not really, the original novel. I have this ridiculous dream that some day I will find a 1st edition of the novel hidden away in some thrift store. That, and a 1st edition of Something Wicked This Way Comes.
